Harjureitti’s rest area shelters and peat huts are in common use. They have a fire place for a campfire, a dry toilet and a wooden hut that contains a store of dry firewood. People who use these areas should follow Everyman’s Right and take with them all packaging that is not burnt in the campfire. Food waste should not be left in the area as it will rot and spoil the pleasure the area gives to other users. Caution should be exercised when lighting summer campfires and current information is often issued by authorities regarding warnings and absolute bans on setting fires during dry periods.
Please note: Responsibility for a fire rests with those who light it.
